Vintage 1980s Handmade Metallic Beaded Indian Jacket
This product is unavailable
Stunning vintage handmade in India metallic jacket featuring a lovely array of mirrors, hand embroidered faux pearls, and embroidered chain detail in a soutache-like design. For those who love vintage textiles, this is one that truly steals the show. The fabric is made of a shibori print navy silk, and the entire thing has been beaded with intense detail. It is fully lined, and the shape of this jacket is cropped, so it pairs wonderfully over dresses and skirts. With a queen anne style neckline, the jacket hugs your neck and buttons down the front. The pockets have a very geometric shape, and feature hand-cut mirrors throughout.
This jacket has been previously worn and loved, and does show some wear in the button holes (which have tears in them). Luckily this doesn't distract from the jacket (as they are hidden when the jacket is closed) and can be easily repaired.
Size & Fit: Small, Fitted. No stretch.
Measurements (taken with the jacket closed, lying flat):
Sleeve Length: 20"
Shoulder to Shoulder: 16
Condition: Very good vintage condition with some signs of wear. This is a jacket that was so clearly worn and loved by its previous owner. There are tears in the button holes and a few very minor beads missing. Overall the condition is very good besides the tears in the button holes (which can be fixed).
