Vintage 1950s Hand Painted Velvet Mexican Circle Skirt with Sequins
This product is unavailable
Amazing, rare, and highly collectible hand-painted Mexican tourist circle skirt featuring a wide and heavily sequinned eagle with snake beak in the center. Originally bought as a tourist skirt, these wearable historical artifacts are like wearing a piece of art. Mexican artists would paint and sell these to tourists in the 1940s and 50s. One side of the skirt features a large sequinned eagle, and on the opposite side features the Mayan calendar. Skillfully painted on metallic colors add vividness and character to this beautiful vintage skirt.

Condition: excellent vintage condition. No holes or stains. A few sequins missing. Some hanger marks at velvet waistband.
