A rare and stunning original Victorian period antique white petticoat in immaculate condition. Featuring a full and layered hem, this lovely scalloped lace petticoat was originally worn as part of a wedding ensemble. Lovingly stored by the original family for over 100 years, this petticoat skirt has a beautiful history and can still be enjoyed today.
The skirt features several long and narrow pin-tucks which frame inserts of lace throughout the hem. Slightly longer in the back than in the front, this skirt is perfect for layering over a crinoline or hoop. It would be lovely worn with an antique blouse or under a dress for a wedding.
Waist: Adjustable draw waist, Fitting 24"-29"
Length: 36" in front and 40" in back
Fabric/Care: 100% Cotton. Soft yet stiff cotton weight. Hand Wash cold.
Condition: Excellent wearable condition, presents beautifully.. Clean and ready to wear showing only two small faint discolorations near back drawstring. Cotton is sturdy showing some small breaks in lace and mesh (see photos) and some small nicks in cotton near center front waist.
