Designed in the 1930s - 40's, this handmade wedding gown is done in a beautiful sheer flocked floral lace over a silk taffeta lining. The dress features a portrait style neckline over a shirred bodice, giving nod to that classic Hollywood bombshell look so popular during this era. Gathered mesh tulle accents the neckline, while pointed hems accent the sheer lace sleeves.

A full and gathered skirt falls from the Basque style waist, and there is extra gathering at the hips and around the back for added shape. Many wedding dresses during the 1930s and 40s featured ultra-long trains. This gown is a perfect example and is finished with a long self train in excellent condition. There is aso a ribbon hook in the back so that the wearer can hold the train as she pleases.

To add a bit more style and flair, you can accessorize the bodice with some antique wax flowers (available on eBay or Etsy), add some satin or fabric covered buttons down the middle, or even attach a family heirloom brooch right in the center. This dress is definitely beautiful on its own, but the possibilities are endless for those with an imagination.
