1920s Floral Chinese Embroidered Silk Blouse
This product is unavailable
Beautiful embroidered Chinese silk blouse from the 1920s featuring wide sleeves and a flowing shape. This rare blouse is made of a soft and lightweight silk - it hangs beautifully and feels so good on the skin. This style of blouse is quite rare- the lightweight quality and femininity of the top is not seen very often in Chinese antiques. The blouse was most likely made in China for a Western customer- and was quite possibly originally apart of a Chinese pajama ensemble.
Great for adding a bit of old world charm to your wardrobe, this blouse is easy to wear and looks great dressed up with trousers or dressed down with jeans. Featuring the prettiest combination of colors, the blouse features an orange silk detail along the hem and turquoise accents on the buttons. The hand embroidered florals are stunning - click to zoom in and appreciate the leaves, chrysanthemums and other flowers throughout the blouse.
Size: One size fits most. On a small it will be loose (like pictured). On a Medium or large, it will be equally as flattering.
Sleeve Length: 20"
Condition: Very good vintage condition with some wear. Although the lining of this blouse has several holes, you don't see any of these holes on the outside (visible) part of the top. The visible layer of the blouse has no holes or stains that I can see. The lining should not be considered in good condition but it can certainly be replaced. As with most antiques of this age, the lining has issues but it does not detract at all from the wearability of look of the blouse.
