Absolutely surreal Joan Crawford-esque vintage 1940s (late 40s to early 50s) draped cocktail evening dress made of a delightful and luscious rayon crepe fabric. Rayon crepe is a fabulous fabric from the 1940s that was frequently used in designing cocktail gowns. It drapes and has a sheen just like silk but has a thicker weight to it making it perfect for gathering. The fabric feels just heavenly on the skin; you will instantly feel a sense of Old Hollywood glamour after slipping it on!

Featuring long and cuffed dolman style sleeves, this lovely gown is in beautiful condition except for some small spots (see last photos) and a light discoloration at the bottom left of the gown. The gown has been professionally dry cleaned and the spots have lightened but are still slightly visible, so has been priced accordingly.

Size: 4

Fabric & Fit:
Silky rayon crepe fabric. Loose fit around bust fitted through the waist and hips. Small amount of stretch in fabric.

(Pictured on a size 6 Mannequin with 35" bust, 26" waist, 36" hips. The dress was not clipped to the mannequin.)

Condition: As noted above, the gown is in very good condition showing a few small spots (see last 3 photos) and a light discoloration at the bottom left of the gown. The gown has been professionally dry cleaned and the spots have lightened but are still slightly visible, and thus has been priced accordingly and will be sold as is.
