This is a beautiful Chinese silk shawl dating from the 1920s. It is made of silk charmeuse and was tie-dyed by a local Berkeley artist. Featuring wonderfully blended colors of reds, oranges, greens, and burnt orange - this shawl has a mysterious yet grounding effect when worn. The silk is supple and silky to the touch; combined with the colors it was dyed it creates a beautiful sheen. Long ombre fringe and hand knotting add weight and depth to this already spectacular piece!

Size: Medium to Large sized shawl

Era: Shawl dates to 1920s. Hand-dyed effect produced later.

Fabric: Silk Charmeuse. Truly amazing silk to the touch.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. One small (barely a centimeter) spot in the back of the shawl. Some small snags. Very wearable, overall beautiful condition for the age.
