Incredible and rare 1940s to 1950s Lilli Ann 'New Look' style princess coat in powder blue. Made of a luscious, warm, and soft eyelash wool, this lovely fit n' flare coat

is fully lined and features all six of it's original olive green buttons. Masterfully tailored, the coat has beautiful design details featuring a nipped waist and an extra full skirt that flares wonderfully above the knee. A fine addition to your vintage clothing collection, you really will never come across a coat like this again.

Although there are no tags present, this coat is attributed to designer Lilli Ann due to style, fabric, button material, shape, and lining. A similar coat of the era which bears the Lilli Ann label has the same exact buttons as this coat. There is also a Lilli Ann advertisement from the 1940s of a similar coat (sleeves, collar, style and buttons all similar). Please message me if you are interested in seeing more documentation.

Best Fits a size XS/S

Measurements:
Bust: 32" measured armpit to armpit and then doubled. Could accommodate for slightly more (up to 35") due to the fact that the coat has dolman style sleeves.
Waist: 27"
Hips: Free
Shoulder to Shoulder: 16"
Overall Length: 40"
Sleeves: 22"

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The outer of the coat shows little to no wear (no holes or stains present). It may have been hemmed at some point by a previous owner (but the alteration has been done well). The coat has been professionally dry cleaned. The original inner lining is clean however shows tears at the shoulder and underarm and has been repaired in  a few areas (see last photo). The lining will hold up to a few more wears but at some point it will need to be reinforced or replaced.
